I Feel Like the Atheists Will Save Us All

It's not about debating the existence of God, which god is the God, or which religion tops the charts.

The issue here is the persistent portrayal of Jesus in Christianity as an Anglo-Saxon, snow-white figure. That image isn’t just inaccurate—it’s imperial propaganda. It’s the product of colonialism, white supremacy, and patriarchy. And it’s long past time we call it out for what it really is.

The historical Jesus—if we’re talking about the man who lived in the Middle East over 2,000 years ago—seems to have been a radical figure: a visionary, a firebrand, maybe even an early revolutionary. But over time, that real person has been buried under layers of myth, political revision, and the King James Version’s sanitized narrative.

It’s that version of Jesus—the weaponized, whitewashed one—that needs to be challenged.
