After 8,000 years of brute dominance, its reign is finally being challenged.
 
Systemic bias against women, and the cultural systems that discourage men from expressing their emotions, can, should, and will be replaced with something more fair, more humane, and more liberated. We're finally confronting the toxic, dominant patriarchal ideologies (Anglo-Saxon too, for the large part) that once went unquestioned. The up and coming generation is pushing back hard, dismantling gender roles, rejecting outdated social norms, and embracing new and exciting nonbinary ways of living. Cue the band and confetti canons, because YESSSSSSS.
 
This movement isn't about reversing power or bashing men, it’s about liberating everyone. Being a badass feminist today means challenging deeply embedded patriarchal influence. It means recognizing that women have been marginalized and denied basic rights and opportunities simply because of their gender and putting things right. We're still fighting for bodily autonomy (WAKE UP USA), wage equality, access to education, property rights, legal protections, and the freedom to live without fear or discrimination.
And to be clear, feminism isn't just about cisgender, hetero women. It must also center and uplift queer, transgender, and gender-expansive people—voices that have been left out of the conversation for far too long. Feminism and dismantling the patriarchy are good things, they are steps up for humanity, let's flow into a new normal with acceptance, excitement, and hopefulness.
