The Climate + Environment Collection at The New Provocateur seeks to illuminate the scale and urgency of the climate crisis we now face.
Ancient old-growth forests, rich in biodiversity and home to trees that have stood for thousands of years are increasingly under threat. These ecosystems are not only sanctuaries for countless species found nowhere else on Earth, but they also play a critical role in regulating our planet’s climate. Tragically, many of these lands, including those long held sacred by Indigenous communities, are being destroyed at an alarming rate by unchecked corporate exploitation driven solely by profit.
Without immediate action to protect these environments, we risk the collapse of ecosystems essential to all life on Earth. The time for passive awareness has passed. We must keep this issue burning at the forefront of public consciousness and push for the most rigorous protections against corporate violation of forests, watersheds, and other vital natural resources.
This includes halting the development of new oil and gas pipelines, ending all clear-cutting practices, and banning fracking that irreversibly damages the land.
At The New Provocateur, it is our hope that this collection will spark more dialogue, deepen understanding, and inspire a collective effort to preserve these irreplaceable ecosystems.
